"The reports are baseless and utter rubbish. I don't know why anybody would want to link us up. Amala and I share a great vibe, and we are still in touch. But, there's nothing remotely romantic between us!" This was the reply from a puzzled Vijay when asked about his broken relationship with Amala Paul.

Their relationship was something that was speculated by the media, but if the industry insiders are to be taken for granted then it seems the relation which was going smoothly have come to an end.

Amala Paul Tamil cinema's latest sensation and Vijay the most promising young director met during the shoot of AL Vijay's 'Deiva Thirumagal' where Amala Paul was seen in a different role. They reportedly dated one another and were seen at various events and family functions together but they always denied seeing each other. During the filming of 'Deiva Thirumagal', reportedly they grew closer to each other. There were even stories of how he got her lunch from home every day as she was homesick. Amala, too, didn't make any efforts to hide how much she was in awe of the director. It was reported that when Vijay got his luxury car, she was the first one to get a ride in it. Amala was also present at most of his family functions and it was stated that he even managed her career.

It is said that the duo got busy with their commitments and have broken up and that AL Vijay's parents are currently on the lookout for a bride for him. AL Vijay is currently working on 'Thaandavam' with Chiyaan Vikram in London and Amala Paul is shooting with Ram Charan Teja in London for a Telugu film. The latest buzz in the industry is that director Vijay and Amala Paul, who were supposedly seeing each other, have now broken up. The grapevine says that Amala, who was shooting in London for a Telugu film, didn't even bother to call up Vijay, who was also in the city for his Thaandavam. It's now being said that Vijay's parents have started looking for a bride for him.

"I'm busy with my films, and I've no plans of marrying now. My parents are also not hunting for a bride!" adds Vijay in a huff and convince that the two weren't even in a relationship to have broken up. Ok if that is what Vijay has to say then let them move on with their life. Only time will reveal if they were or are in a bonding. Relationship in Cinema industry among celebrities has also been denied not accepted. So let the History continue and Chemistry work out.
