It was heard that Sun TV has bagged the satellite rights of STR movie Vettai Mannan. The latest update is that Zee Tamil has bagged the rights for an enormous price. The film is currently in production stages. The film is directed by debutant Nelson and Deeksha Seth has already been signed as one of the leading ladies.

Unlike VTV, Vaanam and Podaa Podi, Vettai Manan will have lots of action with a strong comedy element. Interestingly, Nelson has worked with Simbu in Manmadhan and Vallavan. Jai of Subramaniapuram fame will play an important role in this film. Yuvanshankar Raja will compose its music.

Vettai Mannan, an action-packed gangster story, is Simbu's costliest film till date with the making cost of reaching 40 crores. There are reports that Simbu will play the role of a serial killer in the film.
