Pooja Kumar is Heroine to Universal actor Kamal Haasan.

The American beauty Pooja Kumar is astonished and surprised to get the biggest offer of her life. She has bagged quiet a  big role, as the lead actress role with Kamal in his movie Viswaroopam. The actress says it’s all her fortune to be part of such a big league and an actor like Kamal. Pooj says she will be a part of the Tamil film Industry if Viswaroopam is going to do a good job for her.

Trained in the Bharatanatyam, Kuchipudi, and Kathak styles of Indian classical dance Pooja Kumar was crowned Miss India USA in 1995. She is also an American actress, producer, model and has been a veejay for Channel V, a newsreader on the show Namaste America and has starred in such feature films as Kaadhal Rojave, Night of Henna, Flavors, Hiding Divya, Park Sharks, Bollywood Beats, and Anything For You.

Born into a Mathur family in St. Louis,Missouri, her parents are immigrants from India; her father from Dehradun and mother is from Lucknow. Dr Paraag Kumar her younger brother is also a male model. She attended Washington University graduating with degrees in political science and finance.  In the late 2000s, she appeared in the Pakistani drama serial Ishq Junoon Dewaangi on Hum TV.
